Muhammadu Mustaph, the Lamido of Adamawa, has in details explained why he was detained by the military organization of Muhammadu Buhari after it toppled the regular citizen organization driven by President Shehu Shagari in 1983.
Mr Mustapha gave the clarification on Saturday while receiving the Program Manager of Wadata Communication Limited, Zubair Idris, who paid him a courtesy visit after an occasion in Yola.
The traditional ruler said he was kept in light of the fact that he was a commissioner in the civilian government administration of the then Gongola State. He reviewed that the new military routine arranged the detainment of the considerable number of legislators in government at the ideal opportunity for examination for supposed defilement.
“I was investigated and found to be clean and subsequently released,” Mr. Mustapha said.
The traditional ruler declared his full support for the fight against corruption and lauded the Buhari administration for its commitment to check corruption.
