New matter have risen on how some expelled soldiers of the Nigerian Armed force make use of their uniforms to loot people on highways. The expelled amies according to the police would commandeer people at gunpoint under the image of being individuals from ‘Operation MESSA’.
It was accumulated that the suspects would arrange their exploited people to drive to a desolate zone where they would arrange them out of the vehicle at gunpoint and later drive off with the vehicle.
Seven associated individuals with the posse who were marched yesterday before newsmen at the order’s Officials Chaos, GRA, Ikeja, conceded having a place with a group of looters threatening occupants of the state and confiscating them of their resources.
Those captured were recognized as Okere Kingsley Oluchukwu, 29; Tosin Adeyemo, 32; James Olufemi, 43; Ogunshola Samuel, 45; Kenechukwu Ibeh, 26; Daniel Anochime, 38; and Afolayan Stephen, 26.
In his admission, Ndidi Oluchukwu said he was rejected from the military in 2013 while serving in the North East. “I was expelled in absential in light of the fact that I took pardon from my unit authority to return home to treat myself. I remained past the one-week time frame I was given. I returned home and remained for some time before attaching with other rejected troopers in Lagos. I began my new life by accompanying business vehicles. I make N3,500 every day. I met different individuals from the pack while accompanying vehicles. We met up to shape another pack,” he included.
Lagos State Chief of Police, Zubairu Muazu, while strutting the presumes yesterday said the direction got a great deal of trouble calls from habitation of Ijegun and environs about the exercises of some furnished looters who work in military regalia.
